Question Card readers - Square vs Zettle vs SumUp - what's best?

Evening,

Lil'Angel and a mate will sell their artworks at a few fairs and comic-con-type events over the coming year.

They need a card reader.

What's the skinny on these types of things? There's a thread by bluescreen about this with 4 or 5 comments, so there's not much to go on really. More preferences than suggestions.

I know the three I've listed are popular - are there any other providers to consider in this field? I don't see them turning over enough to warrant a business account and bank-provided machine.

Square and Zettle seem cheapest with similar % taken from sales transactions at approx 1.7%

I have a Zettle and it’s easy enough to use and link to your phone, not used the others

I used square in the past and it was easy enough pretty sure things will have progressed now (it was pre-covid after all)
as zettle is a paypal thing it might be easier to integrate if they already have a paypal.
