Classy people. They already got a trip to Barbados out of the old boy's fame and then set up the charity, quite separate from his own charitable efforts and installed themselves as trustees. As of last year they managed to restrict themselves to just syphoning money off, into companies created for the purpose of syphoning. And now, applying for planning permission, claiming this would also be used for the 'Foundation', which was an outright lie. It turned out to be a spa and pool. Grasping shitbags, who were already living in the old feller's grade 1 listed building. Lovely people.

Replying to a BBC email about this matter, Hannah Ingram-Moore said via email: "You are awful. It's a total lie."

Six minutes later she added: "Apologies. That reply was for a scammer who has been creating havoc".

Maybe Captain Tom was in on it all along and the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. People were just blinded by the blazer with the gongs on it and the quaint nature of the enterprise. He’s not even dead or even decrepit. He’s now on a private island (owned by Lord Lucan) off Panama riding Shergar bareback while Diana, Elvis and Hitler look on in admiration

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I had thought they they were just rather clueless. But the stuff about appearing to represent the charity and having direct payments made to her, shows a certain level of corruption, ditto using the charity name in relation to the annex. Their one set of accounts do disclose all the related party transactions, but it's still not a good look. Especially when the charity only has 3 trustees and one of them's her husband. :facepalm:

I saw an interview her in the last 18 months and her justification for her companies taking payments was along the lines that they'd put in loads of time/resources during the Captain's original fundraising campaign...
