Help Can't get i to W10.

I recently gave my Microsoft Surface Book to my daughter after carrying out a Factory Reset and removing the machine from my Microsoft Account. When she switched on for the first time she successfully connected to the internet but couldn’t get access to Windows 10 because a PIN was required. I passed her my PIN but she received the following error message message:

“The user profile service, service failed the sign-in
User profile cannot be loaded.”

I no longer have direct access to the Surface Book because I live in Cyprus and my daughter and the laptop live in France.
Has anybody else here had the same problem and how did they get round it?

Reboot usually solves that one. Might need to ensure it powers down properly and isn’t just going to sleep.

Thanks for the reply, Cybershot. No joy. I rather think that removing it from my Microsoft Account was a mistake though it was recommended on another website.

Phone Microsoft's help line (not sure of the number from Cyprus). I had a similar problem with locking myself out of a laptop after a factory reset and they were very helpful.

Take the Hammersmith & City line and get off at Ladbroke Grove. HTH.
