I was in Berlin a couple of months after the wall came down, I bought a piece of graffiti covered concrete that was purported to have been from the wall. A few years later and it seems to have been thrown out.:-/

In 1983 I want to Berlin so before the wall came down. Went through the checkpoint to the east side for a day and got stared at a lot and a kid shot pins at me from some kind of toy gun The supermarket had barely anything in it but huge jars of sauerkraut.
