I think we should come up with lines from a Shapiro review of other films where he displays similar lack of awareness of narrative devices or that not everything in satire is actually literal.

The Usual Suspects

Those Sherlock Holmes stories play the dirty trick of having a main character who is cleverer than you are, which means you can never guess the answer to the mystery before he does!

It really is a gobsmacking review though. Perhaps it answers the question of how someone ends up like Shapiro - he's never read a book in his life.

Someone called in to his show once and started talking about star wars. Poor Ben's eyes lit up and he got so excited talking about it. Was almost pitiful to see that clearly he'd be happier simplky shooting the shit about Star Wars rather than continue his Daily Wire grift and his pretend philosopher career. But as Vader might say, it's too late for him.
