Massive fuck up by Labor, this will not end well.

The ALP will put up with a lot from the CFMEU because of the torrent of money they get from it, but the Victoria branch, particularly in the unlovely form of its Secretary and Domestic Violence Specialist, John Setka were absolutely taking the piss with corruption and links to organised crime.

Albo had to act otherwise the Coalition would use the issues to beat the shit out of them at next year's election. Taking the union into administration was probably the least action he could get away with because the union officials can resign and keep their ill-gotten rather than face prosecution.

So, as ugly as this is for Albo, not doing anything was worse.
