Are there any other colleges like the citylit in London?

I'm a fan of the citylit, with its heavily subsidised evening/weekend courses in just about everything, and I seem to remember someone telling me a while ago that there's another very similar institution in London - but I can't seem to turn it up on google. Does anyone know of one?

Ah, thanks - my hazy, alcohol-obscured recollection of the recommendation suggests that that was the one someone (who? who knows?) mentioned to me.

Birkbeck's also very good for more academic type courses Again as been said it completely depends on what you want to do. At the end of the day you do not (usually) end up doing a range of courses. You just end up doing one. And that one might be just the one exceptional course an average college.

I would get hold of all four colleges' prospectuses

1. City Lit
2. Morley College
3. Mary Ward
4. Birkbeck

If you need to go broader than that have a look at something like Hot Courses or Floodlight.
