Any hamster owners here?

Thora

Differently Ethical
We recently became hamster-carers (due to my niece discovering she is deathly allergic to it). It's very sweet and friendly.
How often should we be cleaning the cage out though?
She's made tunnels, a bed/nest and a food store so I feel bad about cleaning the whole thing out
She has a litter box to wee in so the cage is fairly clean.

That's sweet of you but I think you ought to let your niece out at least once a day.

you have an affectionate hamster that's quite rare most of them are plotting their owner demise at every moment :hmm:

but seriously if she already got a toilet area that needs cleaning the most and maybe once a month for the rest if it getting manky :)
