Am I going mad here?

Am I going mad here? Or is it just my imagination, or was there a period a few weeks ago where the premiership campaign was 'kick fascism out of football', but now it has been changed to 'no room for racism', or did I just misread the font?

I gamble a bit sometimes and went on the site to look at some stats a few weeks ago and I am sure it said 'kick fascism out of football' and 'report it if you see it'.

But I went back today and saw it was 'no room for racism'. Just checking if the football fans here can confirm either way. I have had insomnia recently anyway, so not worried much about being right or wrong here.

Just if the 'fascism' word was used and now it's changed to 'racism' it would be interesting. I am aware the issue is a lot to do with racism, but fascism being, as is well known, an economic and political issue to do with crises of capitalism and lowering the working class wage to do so, and then using racism to do so, had the Premiership acknowledged that and then had to climb down... well.

But, you know, maybe I just misread it! ¯\(ツ)

I think you might have misread it. There has been a 'Kick Racism Out of Football' campaign since 1993.

I was aware of the 'kick racism out of football' campaign, hence me thinking 'wow, given they are multi-million corporations and don't give a shit about anything but the 'turnstile turnover'', it would indicate that after 10 years of it, 'the second wave of British Caserism' was no longer financially viable.

Thanks, though, and all, but it needs to have been spotted in the last 4-5 weeks. not since '93.

Given this thread seems to be repeating the fact that the phrase 'kick racism out of football' has been around for a while, can I get a confirmation of when exactly the slight change in phrase 'no room for racism' started?

It's not either/or. Kick It Out is one campaign, whereas 'No Room for Racism' is an EPL initiative since Match '19.

Cool, since March '19, thanks

That's what I needed, makes sense that I misread it then, since it was an EPL site I saw the slogan on. And I accept I used the word 'campaign' above, but I was looking for a change in 'slogan', so that makes more sense.

I guess it was projection, plus the font that is used makes the 'r' look 'f'-like', and I was sick of people insisting there was nothing wrong with benefit bashing as 'fascism is about anti-racism', when I was trying to point out that 'fascism is at base economic, and as such it involves lowering the average working class wage as one of those economic mechanisms, and so benefit bashing is part of that campaign, but uses racism both as a divide within the working class but also a deflection from the economic focus (easy enough to do given racism is a real issue).

Having [long 10 year personal story] just moved house 200 miles away, and now nursing some PTSD (acknowledged as political by my therapist) from the receiving end of a right wing hate campaign (famous phrase 'it's the way you [as in me] reacted to the hate crime is why we blame you for the way we treat you' - CPS' favourite witness statement that would have been), I needed to get some info for a reality check, and that distinction above was what I needed.

Appreciated, thanks.

And the rest of you.
