Aftersun film

I watched a film called Aftersun (2022) last night from BBC Films on the lovely
I player its about a young girl and her dad going on holiday in Turkey I suffered
the whole film, to conclude it was possibly the worst film I have seen in my whole life
that is going sum. The next day I decided to look it up on the rotten tomatoes and others
to my horror, it was the Guardian Film of the year it was ratted 69 % on rotten tomatoes
has anyone else seen the film am I missing something?

Hadn't heard of 1999's Sunburn before, apparently it stars a young Cillian Murphy as one of a group of Irish students spending a summer in the US

That was one of my favourite films of that year. It was a very emotional experience.
Really impressive for a first film. Can’t wait to see what she does next
