A little trip in Europe...please assist.

I have booked a ferry to Dunkirk, got a hotel for 1 night in Ostend and 1 night in Bruge and nothing more planned.
Was looking at going in to southern Netherlands, Eindhoven and do days out to Rotterdam & Amsterdam then going south to Luxombourg and then on to Lile before returing back to uk.

Anyone got any recomendations on places to vist and stay?
Good cheap hotels & eateries?

Try Ghent while you're in that neck of the woods. Just like Bruges, but less touristsy. Apparently. I've only been to Ghent (and it was lovely!) but only going off 2nd hand info for the Bruges comparison.

First time driving overseas and I found the experience much easier than driving in the UK

Fantastic trip, cant wait for next year to explore middle Europe
