911 - please don't flame me

Why do you only ask that question of 911 topics?
I've already explained this in some considerable detail previously.

These boards weren't set up for a tiny handful of conspiracy fans to post up an endless stream of bonkers, evidence free wacko theories which only end up attracting even more bonkers conspiracy fans.

But nothing's stopping those so keen to tell the 'truth' startimg up their own forum dedicated to 9/11.

If I was that so convinced that I knew the truth about the biggest conspiracy on the world, I'd certainly make a bit more effort to advertise that fact than posting on a site where barely anyone's interested.

So why don't they? It's not like it's that hard to make a website, is it?

What other objects? A pair of bound hands?

Why is it so hard? Dunno mate, i'm not you, i don't have your brain. But as for my brain, i find it very hard to visualise this passport escaping out of the cockpit and going 206 feet through loads of steel and concrete and a huge fireball, and then upon exiting still flying another block, never mind remaining unsinged. How far is a block in NYC? For such a light object, yes i find it impossible to see.

Through steel and concrete????? The WTC was open plan. The only steel and concrete was in the outer walls and the inner core. So just what steel and concrete does the passport have to fly through?????????

Scenario.

Passport is sat on top of instrument console. Plane hits outer wall of WTC. Windscreen of plane breaks. Plane hits steel girders in central core. Plane rapidly decellerates. These large forces rip the engines off which carry on punching a hole in opposite wall. Any other loose objects also carry on at several hundred MPH. The fuel tanks are ripped open.

Passport and fuel are now travelling free through remaining office space at 200+ MPH with a 50ft gap between passport and fuel. At some point the fuel ignites. Passport and fireball are still travelling at 200+ MPH. Passport and fireball pass through already gaping hole in opposite wall. Passport is not singed as it is still 50ft ahead of fireball. Passport then floats down from 900+ft high while also being affected by the wind and it's forward momentum. Where is it supposed to land back inside the WTC or some distance away?

Hey editor, LOOK!! A new conspiracy we've not had before.

What a furtive imagination too. Far better than the other ones we've had.

I mean, the passport remaining a constant 50 ft ahead of the fireball...

You're not being serious are you mate? If you are, then so far as i'm concerned, it invalidates everything else you've ever said here.

Only my opinion mind. But that is why we come here.

Which bit was inaccurate?

Are you saying that you didn't bully posters, ban people on a personal whim, alienate just about everyone involved and then indulge in a bizarre Dubversion impression?

Yup - erm, except for the banning - that lasted a whole 20 minutes.

But that isn't all you've said either is it?

If you like I'll do a little trawl and post them all up.

On the other hand, you could either drop the crap, or maybe we should meet up for a drink and discuss it face to face.

Because, besides derailing threads, its becoming increasingly clear that this isn't being resolved bith your attacking me with it all the time.

Remind me - who shoved his face into this 9/11 thread purely to stir up trouble and launch a personal attack?

Why, that'll be you of course!

What a fucking hypocrite.

Oh, and I don't drink with people who have "no respect" for me.

Do you live in the real world or are you the figment of someone's imagination?

Try holding 2 objects in your hand and then throwing them. What happens?

Does one of the objects race ahead of the other?

Unless some extra thrust is provided to one of the objects, both objects will travel at the same speed. As the fuel tanks in an aircraft are well behind the cockpit the passport will stay ahead of the fuel. Fuel, being a liquid, will tend to break up and slow down faster than a solid object.

A 5 year old could work that one out.

I am not the 'figment of someone's imagination'. Even a five year old could work that one out. How on earth could i not be living in the real world?? What a very strange question to be asking. Are you alright?

Now, if you are alright, forgive me if i'm not totally up on it, but once an impact occurs, the next occurrence is the ball of flames. And if the movies aren't lying, that ball of flame, starting at a localised source expands rapidly. You know, where the circle just gets bigger and bigger.

Meanwhile, poor old passport is still travelling at the same speed

[having launched itself off the panel in the cockpit of the plane being flown by Atta, who for some reason placed his passport on the panel in front of the controls of the plane he had just hijacked. The question shouldn't be asked, but why would he place his passport in front of the controls? I mean, he was about to kill himself, why would he want to put his passport in that particular place?]

with happy and greedy old ever-expanding-ball-of-flame chasing down its tail. Rapidly. How can you claim a consistent 50 ft between them?

Things that can easily be explained by basic physics seem quite unpalatable to Fela. Things that can only be explained by paranoid delusionists have far more appeal.

If you're any kind of debater, you'd be putting forward examples to back up your assertions and opinions about me. Since you're so blatantly wrong, i'll not bother waiting for any.

Unpalatable? What are you on about? Basic physics? What am I, retarded? Why would i not have an understanding about such a 'basic' thing?

Stop giving me a load of vague stuff, explain how you come to view things this way about me. Just interested in why you're attacking me this way, when every single thing you said about me is simply wrong.

intresting that the wanderings and flights of whimsey have not yet ceased on this thread exactly why did you post on this sand pit editor?

That's a problem that's very easily fixed: Build a website for next to nothing

Or if you don't fancy fiddling with HTML, you can always get your own boards for jack diddly squat at ezboard.com. It'll take you about five minutes.

Problem sorted.

Sorry editor, problem not sorted.

I haven't got time! And with a host of new things to learn, building a website holds no interest to me. I leave that sort of thing to you and the other website builders who do a more than good job over holding a non-advertising site. It would take me bloody ages. I do things i can do.

So, no go man.

Ahh the movies, a highly accurate source of real life evidence.

It's make believe.

So why doesn't flight 175 burst into flames as soon as it hits the south tower? We've all seen the video / stills.

When an impact occurs and the fuel tanks rupture they do not necessarily burst into a ball of flame. You require a source of ignition for that. You can pour aviation fuel into a tray and drop a lit match into it and the match goes out. (Avionics tech fire training :) )

The question shouldn't be asked, but why would he place his passport in front of the controls? I mean, he was about to kill himself, why would he want to put his passport in that particular place?

No idea it suits the theory. Where do you place items you have with you when you get in a car? Most people I know or have seen put them on the dashboard. The top of the instrument console is the equivalent of a dashboard and there is no glove compartment on a flight deck. :)

I was trying to keep the explanation simple. I did state that the fuel would slow down faster than the passport. This would increase the gap between the passport and the fuel. Depending on when the fuel ignites and how fast it expands determines wether the fireball catches up with the passport.

One of the conspiracy sites linked to previously shows the south tower impact and highlights (in crayon) one of the engines which is well ahead of the fireball. So it is possible for an object to stay ahead of the fireball.

Right, this thread has gone down the same route of all the other 9/11 conspiracy threads. Nothing interesting posted for a few pages and a descent into mostly pointless bickering.

I really haven't got time for posting on any more of them, other than to say that in my humble opinion they should be chucked unless the thread starter truly has something verifiable to say. And the thread actually sticks to the point.

unfortunately that would mean banning Dr jazzz and the editor from them for a start... something i can't see either of them agreeing to thou it would prolly increase the standard of debate on them 10 fold...

What a humble and considerate person you are.

YOU haven't got time for posting on them any more, so YOU declare they should be chucked.

YOU don't like them, so get rid of them.

Hey, here's an idea: if you don't like them get off them, and leave them to those that do like posting on them. Just post elsewhere and forget about them. Is that so difficult?

Self-centredness eh loki?

The more you write, the more YOU look like the conspiracy theorist. It's all conjecture. Hot air. The flying passport my arse. And you obviously are serious about your theory. Truly incredible.

And you're pretty good at deciding what 'we' all do. Another sign of a conspiracist.

As none of us were there and none of us has direct access to evidence or eyewitnesses then anything any of us say is simply conjecture wether it be me or any of the fantasists sites.

As you are so keen on pulling people up on the use of words, I suggest you look up conspiracy to find out what it means.

Where have I 'decided what we all do'?

I've said the same thing several times, so good to agree on that point.

Meanings of words have both dictionary ones, and ones with connotations. The latter aren't in the dictionary, so i can't look it up.

Sorry, i can't remember! Sorry if i got it wrong.

If you'd bothered to follow the link I'd provided, you'd see that it would take all of 5 minutes to set up a free bulletin board with no knowledge of HTML needed whatsoever.

Your complete reliance on me to provide an outlet for your beliefs is a bit, well, weird, really. If I felt passionate enough about something, I'd feel absolutely compelled to do something about it. I only learnt HTML so that I could promote my anti-CJA campaign - that's how urban75 started.

I guess that for all your huffing and puffing here about wanting to uncover 'the truth' about 9/11, when it comes down to it, you can't be arsed to get off your arse for 5 minutes and do something positive about it.

Except posting here on urban for two years on the topic. That's somewhat more than five minutes.

I did subsequently decide to look at your link, out of curiosity. But, you know, I don't want to do any bulletin boards, nor do i want to make my own website, so i was in no rush to look at the link.

'Complete reliance' on you to 'provide an outlet' for my beliefs uh? What angle have you come from there? I don't want any bloody outlet, and i wouldn't rely upon you for anything. What are you talking about man?

Where else do you get to freely publish your fascinating gems about 9/11, fela?

That's a lot of non-reliance, fela, and your response to Mike is very disingenuous.
