3 night December Trip - Paris or Antwerp/Gent?

Thinking of going for an early-December mini-break on the Eurostar.

Paris is the obvious choice but a) I'm not in love with the idea and b) my Mrs has been twice in the last couple of years.

Is there enough to see and do in Antwerp and Gent? We were in Bruges a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Beer + chocolate + frites = a very happy pair. I'd like more of the same, but is that like travelling to the Belgian equivalent of Northampton or something?

Ghent is great - really good bars, couple of nice churches, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Gravensteen Castle. I would thoroughly recommend it.

I think they may have a Christmas market as well.

Ooh, the Christmas market could swing it. That was our original intention, but couldn't afford Nuremburg. Ghent is it!

Ghent it is. Booked into a nice hotel.

Gonna drive. Cheaper than Eurostar.

Very nice place , as good as Brugges but not too twee and overun by tourists.

Gent is surely cheaper to be in than Paris as well - most places are.
