Film crews invade central Brixton

There's at least two film crews currently in action around central Brixton: in Brixton Village they're filming a Halifax ad, while down the road on Coldharbour Lane they're 'putting something in the can' at Georges hairdressers...

Last week a crew was filming an audition for one of the market traders to get a presenting job.

They were filming a Nike ad on Streatham Common South a few days ago Very odd.

Serendipity. My sister works in film and TV in various capacities and was asking today about a hotel in Brixton/Streatham/Clapham that could accomodate a film crew. I don't know what for. I couldn't really think of any decent hotels apart from Church St. Hotel in Camberwell. Any ideas? Is there a Premier Inn or some other shit in Clapham?
