7 Bridges Festival and project launch - Loughborough Junction - 3rd-5th June

I only recently learnt about the 7 bridges project, and in June they are having a launch event and festival on Cambria Road / in the Cambria pub.

Don't know what it'll be like but I thought I'd put it up on here anyway.

Ooh! Something is happening in the Warrior at last!

That's the one that was a club called the "Junction" until about 10 years ago, right?

I'd noticed they've had "7 Bridges" posters up in the windows for the past few weeks. No idea whether this is a one-off event or if there is any plan to reopen it as a pub or anything.

That's an area that's "in motion", right?

Any organisation that quotes the late Ian Nairn on its site front page gets my vote.

Its a three day event - the event in the Warrior on the Friday is only a small part of it - there is plenty of family friendly stuff on the Sunday.

Popular music combo Basement Jaxx are writing a ditty for the event.

This is an amazing grass roots initiative by the Loughborough Junction Action Group .

But they desperately need more volunteers over the three days.
