Moving swiftly on from part four, here's part five!

Oh, and I've been listening to Emmy the Great, Jackson Heights (ultra obscure 70s band), Ashok 'happyslap,' Gene Vincent, The Who Sell Out and Kate Rusby.

Ween - Dark Side of the Boognish. (bit pointless, to be honest)

Cobalt - Eater of Birds (awesome, monolithic doom metal)

De La Soul - Buhloone Mindstate

still on the tapes journey

Colin F/D Show. 93 all the tunes

Big thank you - you know what for!:)

Today it has been about:

Nefertiti - Miles Davis
I Ain't No Joke - Eric B & Rakim
Get Loose (Dub) - Aleem
Rockit - Herbie Hancook
Grace - Jeff Buckley
You Are My Starship - Norman Connors
Saudade - Love & Rockets

I used to (-sort of unintentionally) catch their shows on Kiss back then. (-Tbh, I was more likely tuning in to listen to Solid Steel after them, or something...)

Colin Favor was relatively quite a bit older and had already had a long and chequered DJ-ing career before techno, hadn't he? I think his experience, open-mind, and leftfield nature all shone through on those Kiss shows.

2,3 Break - The B Boys
Boogie Down Bronx - Man Parrish
Express Yourself - NWA
Travelling at the Speed of Thought - Ultramagnetic MCs

Right now Beastie Boys, Ill Communication. I've just given to the Cancer Research shop all my albums on cassette (about a dozen left these days) and that's one of the three or four I wanted to replace, so was going to look for it on CD on eBay.

Except I spotted it two hours ago in our CD collection, and it turned out not to be Guy's, so I think I must have bought it off eBay several months ago and totally forgotten that I'd done so. Which was nice.

Earlier today was listening to Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs Fever to Tell

1. Maze (Feat Frankie Beverly) - Twilight
2. Mantronix - Who Is It?
3. LL Cool J - Going Back To Cali
4. Wayne Smith - Under Me Sleng Teng
5. Now - 70's & 80's (Manuva Mix)
6. Rhythm & Sound - No Partial
7. Sizzla - Rastafari Teach I Everything
8. Ricky Ranking - Can't Trick I
9. Smiley Culture - Shan & Shan
10. Spoonie G And The Treacherous Three - The New Rap Language
11. Taz - Can't Contain Me
12. New Flesh - Wherever We Go
13. Jimmy Screech - In This Life
14. Wiley - Going Mad
15. Spoonface & Omar - She Don’t Know My Name
16. Dee Dee Sharp Gamble - Easy Money
