The Sound Of Plastic Trumpets!!!! (vuvuzelas)

albionism

A successful virus clinging to a speck of mud.
:mad::mad::mad:

The sound of thousands of people blowing on those plastic fucking trumpets is really spoiling this opening game for me!!!!!!.

yep...like 100,000,000 ,0000 bees...totally destroying the atmosphere for me.
Cannot hear the passion of the crowd, just endless mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Are they a substitute for bull roarers ?

And were the traditional British gas rattles banned for similar reasons ?

the noise is truly ruining my enjoyment of the game..

I hope we do not have to enduring that racket throughout the whole
world cup.

Maybe they won't be at such a constant high level when it isn't SA playing ?

They'd all lose their voices if they were cheering like that ...

I just watched a bit on t.v and it's much worse than on radio. It really drowns out all the atmosphere, completly shit.

I do fucking hope (though I fear the worst) that infernal rattle is not going to be present on every game.

There's no point letting it get to you. The Vuvuzelas aren't going anywhere, so the more you think about it, the more annoyed you'll get.

You have to zone them out. It's just about possible. You'd think someone would have come up with an audio EQ plug in they can use to reduce that particular noise.

I have a mate in SA who reckons FIFA have said if a Vuvuzela ends up on the pitch they'll be banned. He's going to a game in the week and he's practising his throw.

Please let this happen. I had to put the tele on mute it was driving me bonkers.

I agree, its totally irritating, replaces the singing which is a great part of football, or just drowns it out.

I think the first two games have felt rather flat cos of it.

I remember this time 4 years ago when summing up the first day of the world cup Lineker said "A month of top quality football starts here, i could die of happiness", and i thought "yes Gary, so could i"

Not thought that today tho.
