Anarchist Federation

Thinking iof joining? Go for it. They're (IMO) the best of the formal anarchist groups. Politically very sound, organisationally solid etc

ok butchers, that right

I may not be entirely serious rioted.

Or am I? :hmm:
depends where you're coming from I suppose.

I have had a lot of experience with AFEDers including Butchers in a previous (political) incarnation. Most of them are power-mad. Give them a sniff of power and principle/ideology/democracy goes out the window in favour of the quick fix. After all, they KNOW what's best, why stand on procedure?

Not the ones I've met. I know you can't generalise but they were a pretty odd bunch.

Name names.

I have nothing against AF and I regard a number of them as good comrades, however when I felt the urge to join an organisation I opted to join Solfed because I agreed with their industrial stratergy and thought the AF's could be described as muddled at best.

I was under the impression butcher's left the AF...

i've known ACF/AFers for 20+ years and while i'm not a big fan of the group, i really do not recognise the above in any way at all ..

Nor do I, and I've been an AF member for a couple of years now.

Someone with an axe to grind, methinks.

:D I read that as give them a sniff of powder - which would have made it far more credible

when i asked if he was a member (when i was a member) they said he had, having not been in touch with dues or correspondence for years. I actually first considered the AF due to butchers rating them on the interweb like what he just said, only to find he wasn't actually involved in the group.

Still, I came to my own conclusions about the org and many other things over the next 2 years :)
