So, anyone going to this? If so, wanna hook up beforehand and mock the journos who are actually doing a job there?

the aintitcool guys have been going apeshit over it......

Certainly piqued my interest - I reckon I will probably go see it at the cinema.

Saw it last night.

It's good (some great scenes), but....

I think there's a clue to the whole thing in the last shot.

Feels a bit like the opening episode to another TV series...

Are you going KS? My bf is going but couldn't get me on the list

I'm not going, but i am in the area, and I used to work with Kyser - havent seen him for about 2 or 3 years. Thought if he was grabbing a beer first then I would pop in

So what precisely is this event of enormous cultural significance? Is it something like the premiere of the Rite of Spring? Or Rock Around The Clock?

It's that popular culture stuff DF, best you stay away...

Well, it's a marmite film, mainly owing to the single handheld camera approach to filming it, but a top monster flick I reckon.

Put it this way - I came out of the cinema, stood still and realised I was adrenalised - was really, really buzzing.

Really enjoyed it, but if your eyes don't work too well with near constant camera movement (and lots of very jerky camera movement in places) don't see it cos you'll hate it. If you can survive that (I found tilting my head to the left slighyly helped), you'll watch a good film with some genuinely excellent cinema 'moments' where you'll go 'Whoa' and 'Arrggh!'

I heard a rumour that its connected to 2 totally different tv series and they all tie together , so if its one of the shows im thinking of it might well be true ........

They also went apeshit over SW1: The Phantom Menace.

Indeed - I perhaps should have qualified my comment to that effect.

Certainly I never trusts Knowles' reviews......but some of the others seem to share my opinions on movies.

anyone notice these imitation films that are going about, low budget copies almost, it's weird there's the omega man/iam legend one (some more i cant think of( and today waiting for cloverfield i watched a film called monster i cant even find it on imdb and its a complete take off and really crap.

In 2005, it was reported that Tokyo, Japan had been devastated by a massive earthquake. It was reported that thousands were dead, In 2007, a camera belonging to two missing American filmmakers was found. The footage would reveal that it was not a n earthquake. It was something else.

thats the synopsis.
