Bollocks is anything 'destroying' society. The two societies are simply different. That doesn't chnage the facts that such punishments as stoning and lashes are barbaic and inhumane. I've found my wife having an affair. I talk from experience. It's painful, but you get over it. You don't EVER recover from hundreds of lashes.

That's because it's a basic premise of our legal system. many other European countries don't actually operate on the presumption of innocence.
I don't actually recall any presumption of innocence in the Koran, rather an injunction to fair treatment for all before the law.

in the sharia everyone is innocent till proven guilty, the onus is on the accuser 2 bring the evidence, and btw we had this when the west were dunking ppl in water and burning them with hot irons 2 ascertain wether they were guilty or not.
