Saudi gang rape victim sentenced to lashes and prison

Well it's not a good point at all.

Spion was saying that these things are culturally acceptable, where the people practising it live. Culture and amorality cannot be conflated.

And as to your opinion as to why pedos rape kiddies 'believing it is ok' is well far from the mark, I'm sure.

In fact the only thing you got right imo was where you said re-education is needed, but even then you were being sarcastic. :)

How do they feel about pedophilia in Saudi Arabia?

Ask CyberRose. She's the expert on all things sex-related.
Well for a start "she's" a "he"!

And no, I'm not an expert on sex (as my girlfriend would probably tell you!) but what I said above I'm pretty sure can be applied to all biological organisms. That's the whole point of anything being alive, to advance their species (by having offspring). In order to ensure that happens, all biological organisms are prgrammed to want to have sex. Why would a male spider want to have sex with a female spider when it knows full well he'll be eaten afterwards?!

It's completely natural and I think that when governments place restrictions on a natural thing like that (and others) then I don't think you can say with certainty that those laws are "accepted" by the majority, because biologically, those laws criminalise what we are all programmed to do...

Essentially, what I believe is that there are certain factors that affect humans equally, which override race or culture, meaning there are universal norms for all humans and therefore it is acceptable to criticise alien cultures when these norms are not respected

Of course, I'd be interested to know what your thoughts are on that, but do feel free to make sarcastic comments again in place of that discussion

Sorry about the name.

Although I see where you are with the point there, you're straying into saying there shouldn't be any laws on sex.

The laws in this case are repulsive, as is the use of sentencing by the judiciary and I wouldn't stand up for them or their misogynistic culture. I don't think the culture is inclined towards paedophila though.

No of course not, I wasn't saying that at all!

And I do think there should be laws against sex (eg against rape etc) but for consenting adults then they should be free to do as they please

(And I don't think there is anything natural about paedophilia as you can't breed with a child, therefore there's nothing wrong or unnatural about laws preventing that)

the woman wasnt sentenced 2 be lashed for being raped, she was sentenced 4 being alone with a man she wasnt related 2,which is an offence in the sharia, the men 'involved' were also sentenced 2 be lashed.
there was absolutely no proof she was raped, and she was seeing another man behind her husbands back, she didnt allege 2 have been raped till 3 months after it was supposed 2 have happened, after the men reported her 4 being with the other man.
nice girl eh.

Yes, because women who spend time with men they aren't married to or related to clearly deserve 200 lashes. Troll.

no, they deserve 90 in the sharia, u know what that is at all?

it got upped 2 200 cos she was undermining the courts decision.

Is that what's called an appeal over there then?

she was entitled 2 appeal 2 the court, not the media, the extra lashes were 4 aggravation by going 2 the media and showing disrespect 4 the court, a bit like u might get an extra charge here or in the us 4 contempt of court.
the men just accepted the decision so didnt receive the extra punishment.

btw in Islam, theres no prison system.

Islam and saudi arent the same thing r they

We're talking about Saudi brainbox. Where do you think the 'over there' in the post you replied to referred to?

And, you missed a post - what do you mean by people like me?

i said in Islam theres no prison system, im not tryna defend the saudi system 4 minute.

u have bad manners, why the need 2 use that sort of language 2 me, did i swear at u?

Are you some sort of muslim robot? Talk proper child. Which system are you defending in your posts above then - the Saudi one or the Muslim one? Either way they both stink, as does your attitude to this girl.

im defending the verdict mate, it was based on the sharia,in the light of the Islamic laws, what she and the men got was fair, the prison system isnt from Islam.
u do know the men got sentenced too yeah?

i don't care that the men were sentenced too frankly. That doesn't balance up what happened to this poor girl as a result of the verdict - lashes or prison. State or religion. If that's sharia in action then fuck sharia.

do u go around insulting peoples religions and swearing at ppl u dont know in ur everyday life, or do u just do it from behind ur computer?

pathetic.

Only if they go about things the way that you do - suggesting that young girl who'd been gang raped somehow called it upon herself for example -and this this is a part of their religion. In cases like that, yes i'll insult you and your religion on here or in everyday life.

She got pardoned for being gang raped. Marvellous! I don't think that you're quite grasping the root of my problem with this case.

Happy Kwanzaa btw!
