Mad Light!!

Pie 1

The fuck did I do?
Brixton's just been bathed in the most increadable yellow light as the sunset burst through the rain. It was like someone had put a huge deep yellow filter over us.
It was so yellow that the tungsten lights in the house looked floresent against it.

Utterly beautiful!

Was amazing wasn't it? Got off the bus to be bathed in beautiful yellow light. Even called LQ in excitement ... only to be caught in the kind of torrential rainstorm that soaks you through in a matter of seconds.

Back home and drying off now, but it was one hell of a rainbow sunset.

 :)

Hey! Pixels! Brilliant!

Christ. Call yourself a photographer? Geez.

Link it through www.imageshack.us or summut. Loser.

Supposed to be quite a rare occurance that. Did you notice the inky-purple afterwards?

Actually, me and the waff were cooing over it earlier, though our camera is shite for landscapes, be nice to see Mr Pie's in all their glory.

And if you like this type of thing...

You could do a lot worse than join, or at least visit the Cloud Appreciation Society.

I've got a badge and a certificate and everyfink.

It was a bit mental... we all went outside to look as our lounge suddenly went bright yellow...there was also a rainbow.... and about 30 snails on my plants...

Not so very far away.... I recommend standing on the bridge at Wandsworth Road station and looking at those two tower blocks to the north during sunet. The lights from the blocks set off the natural lights in the most attractive way.

no snails on ours... beautiful rainbow n great skies!

I texted the editor saying 'get your camera out!'. It was SCARY!

Glad it wasn't just me. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Some nice photos on this thread.

That was one of the maddest skies I've ever seen - did it have something to do with half of Spain and Portugal being on fire? After Krakatoa erupted there was so much ash thrown into the atmosphere that the whole world had amazing sunsets for a year.

That's a gorgeous photo... should use it as U75s August or Sept wallpaper!

Doubt the Editor would allow that, seeing as he's an SW9 resident and not SW2 (the real Brixton!) ;)
