URBURN REMIXED - Jungle/DnB mix CD sharing fun!

right
i got the lead and moved pc next to decks
got audacity on the go
all set but only seems to be recording right channel :confused:
the left is not a totally flat line but near as

also the wave in playback is fat - the lighter bits are within the window but the darker blue wave thingy looks like it's being lost at the edges of the window...
sounds ok on playback but not great and i wanna get it right
:)

will try swapping the L n R coming outta the booth output to eliminate that but
any suggestions anyone?

have you got it to record in mono or stereo?

file - preferences - channels

i think that's what you might need to do, that's what i did anyway :)

mine too :(

been disturbed 3 times :mad: and can't decide what to play as usual :rolleyes:

i always do this, never plan or have a clear idea and just grab stuff as i go along, sometimes works, sometimes don't

ah well, just have to wait for constuctive crit when whoever receives it i spose :)
 
oh well i dont think anyones expecting perfect jungling mixes... mines not even a mix so dont worry! :)

well i've just managed a 70 minute mix which isn't perfect at all, but for a first-ever-recorded mix by someone who manages to get about an hour or two practice a week and has only been learning since last autumn, it's not awfully bad :D

apart from some twat should have realised that mouse clicks would be audible in the mix :rolleyes: :D

serve me right for looking at "specialist" photography online whislt trying to record a mix onto my PC ;)

Ok, I have a bit of an apology to make...

I'm changing the final date for PMs to July 18th, which means you won't get your addresses until monday... :oops: :( I'm very sorry. I'm going to a festival this weekend and so won't be able to sort it till Monday. I could pull the date forward but I thought I'd leave the weekend to see if there's any stragglers.

I'm sure some people might be a bit pissed off having to wait even longer for their CDs (especially jrj2020, who I know has been sitting in his room crossing off the seconds when he gets to receive his, and also cos I'm going to this festival instead of going to see pendulum live with him), but that's the way the cookie crumbles, or something.

So, you have until July 18th to finish your mix CDs (a whole five days!) or, if you haven't already, enough time to PM me your address and take part in the jungly fun!

i apologise on behalf of exleper for the delay in address sending, but we both spent a sleepless 56(ish) hours in a field over this long weekend, so you can see how this isnt his top priority :)

i'll make sure he sends them tomorrow!
 
Fucking hell...it's 3pm and I've only just got up, and I'm still tired and shaking slightly. I will never take drugs again. Probably.

I'm gonna have a shower and some food and then sort these fucking addresses out.

SORRY for the delay everyone!
