Thanks. Never mind, maybe people will say what they voted for.I had a look to see if I could change it to a public poll, but I can't, only correct spelling or add choices. Sorry
err...absolutely but I also liked the seemingly gentle slope up to the Church? Town Hall? at the topIs the King's Street vote because The Burgh Coffee House is there? That's one of my hang-outs. (Right of the photo, with the banners on the pavement).

cesare said:I like the look of all of those streets. I voted for Friar's but it was a tough choice. I went with that one because of the small independent shops, and it looks older. I also had the impression that it might be higgledy piggledy but you can't really tell from that photo.

I imagine it sprouting up, ad hoc, in the wake of friars selling indulgences. It is irregular in plan.
Always a happy combination for rational decision-makers.It has some good pubs and the most tattoo parlours.
It has some good pubs and the most tattoo parlours.
You're going by the name of the pub?

It's been said.Fez909 said:Do all the Stirling Urbs hang out in Beanscene?
So you're brought forward a vote on this important issue knowing full well that the facts required just aren't available! What's your agenda here, la rouge? I suspect a little research will show a series of dubious property deals in the royal burgh by offshore shell company DLR Holdings or the likeAnother the very good question....
The Top o' the Town is actually a very working class area, so no. The Tolbooth is there, though. Which is where you can see live music and comedy. And I've played there.Broad Street looks expensive. Are there many small solicitors and accountants offices on there?
To upstage the thread on Brixton streets, if I'm honest. What's your agenda here, la rouge?
That's an interesting point. The Allan Water is a river, and tributary of the Forth. It seems to contain three different words for water. Aluna, the ancient Celtic for water or stream, linn, the Scots for a waterfall, and the English word "Water", for, em, Water. Aluna Linn Water. Water water water. Bridge of Allan is the town that grew up around the place the Allan Water was bridged. It has the Allan Water Cafe chip shop, about which I told a humorous tale recently. (On the chatting up/sexism thread). So what about this Allan? Why is it his bridge?
