wizard of Wynne road - who was he?

Many thanks for all the info on Loughborough House and the canopies of Electric Avenue.
Can I tap into local knowledge on a third local story?
When I was a kid there was an old man who lived with his cats in a basement in Wynne Road. He used to sell his drawings around the local pubs and do tarot readings and so on. He was supposed to be one up on the normal fortune teller – was known as the wizard of Wynne Road – my father said he had been a pupil of the necromancer Alistair Crowley. My parents used to consult him and he did them a drawing which fascinated me – it was all one squiggly line, but formed three faces – the back of one head formed the side of another, the jaw line of that one made the hairline and forehead of the third. I was told he drew it with his eyes shut without taking pencil off paper as a party piece – totally fascinated me as a kid – reminded me of the Titus Groan illustrations of Mervyn Peake.
Some years ago, talking to Pat at Albert, she told me he had been a famous artist and told me his name – but three more pints of the waters of Lethe and by the time I got home all I could remember was it was a three part name.
Can anyone help with an identity?

I thought Austin Spare as well, but thought his dates didn't fit. Co-incidentally my mother-in-law asked me to research him recently as she found one of his pictures in a Devon junk shop.

Eureka!

That's definitely the man - many thanks. I googled him and from memory the drawing my parents had looked very like some of the 'automatic' drawings. I will have to rummage and see if I can find it.

Obviously family tales/my vague memory squashed the dates a bit. Interesting man - and quite cute when young!

Thanks again
