Oh yeah, around the corner in Mandrell Road you can see the Tuborg Lager sign. So beer it was then.

yep.it is the mural building according to an old press release. The horses in the mural are there because they were delivery horses from that building.

I worked on the site for a few years when it was White Stuff's HQ. The warehouse still had all the original features (it included the horse' stables) and when I was there, they drained the vast tanks underneath which were still full of beer. You can imagine the smell.

Is it an old Watney's warehouse site? Watney tied up with Carlsberg (who had been in a profit share with Tuborg since the C19th) in the late 60s, when they started stocking proper lager in their pubs (which probably doesn't compensate inflicting Watney's Red Barrel keg bitter on beer drinkers)
