So the Met admits to corruption in the '80s. What's changed since?

The Daniel Morgan murder trial collapsed today. Morgan was a private investigator found in a Sydenham pub car park with an axe in his head in 1987. His family say he was about to reveal links between crooks and bent coppers.

Detective Chief Superintendent Hamish Campbell said "this current investigation has identified, ever more clearly, how the initial inquiry failed the family and wider public. It is quite apparent that police corruption was a debilitating factor in that investigation." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...nior-detective-alleges-police-corruption.html

That's quite an accusation. Which officers is he accusing of corruption? Have then been disciplined? And how much corruption is there in the Met these days? I've heard some very iffy things about Brixton police but I don't know how credible they are.
