Second round of arrests this evening re: wedding

And Chris Knight, and a Scottish comrade.

"It's just Patrick" - nice to hear your concern.

it's just patrick: that is, it's not a large number of people, is it? it's bloody good news for patrick's bank balance, that's for sure.

incidentally, i've known patrick for many years, it's not as though this hasn't happened to him before. i'm sure i'll get chapter and verse when next we meet.

Don't be a dick. I really don't need to explain why its not good do I? First they came for the egotistical eccentrics etc
i don't think you've been paying attention to the news if you think they nicked chris knight first.

i used to have some time for chris knight until i saw what an almighty fucking liability he is. anyway, it's not as though they've stung him up or anything, is it?

So the state locking someone up you happen to disagree with is welcome?

oh for fuck's sake. being arrested isn't like being interned or jailed, you know

sure, it's not usually a good thing. but if it has to happen i'd rather it happened to someone like chris knight. patrick will likely be chuffed as punch about this, with several thousand pounds coming his way

You are a fucking idiot
calm down dear

if there's a 'fucking idiot' round here it's you, with your tag-team wank with kenny g. getting nicked is by no means the end of the world and you're a 'fucking idiot' if you think it is. these arrests will come back to haunt the met when patrick et al take them to the cleaners in the courts, just like the arrests at the jubilee nine years ago. i nearly got nicked then and i bloody wish i had, i missed out on £3,500. so that's the starting point for patrick's sojourn at stokey or wherever.

as for chris knight, he's worked so bloody hard to get other people nicked that i can't feel sorry for him.

They really are taking this seriously eh. I'd have thought a warning letter would have sufficed "due to your previous comments we warn you that should you be spotted anywhere near Westminster you will be arrested under section blah of the bullshit act".

Last time it happened to me I was kept in the cells for 16 hours. If they have arrested him this evening it is quite possible he won't be out until mid-day tomorrow. Not a nice experience, especially when the "offence" is of being objectionable.

But as you disagree with him I guess you think its alright. Do you believe that Mozaz should have been arrested more often as well?

if he's been nicked to prevent a breach of the peace he'll be in until about 1800 tomorrow, when the chances of a breach are going to have vanished. that's a lot of time and that's a lot of money.

The right to demonstrate is a human right. Arresting people because they may protest an event that deserves to be protested is an assault on all our freedoms.

Despite having spent only 10 minutes in his company, I thought exactly the same. It was like a pied-piper thing going on. He seemed to target younger more impressionable people, and steer clear of anyone nearing his own age with a bit more nous.

Still, that said, it's not for cops to arrest people on aesthetics.

he has been in the papers giving it the large about how he's going to trash everything tomorrow. there's not that many people who can say the same.

he has to be taught that actions have consequences. fuck knows people have talked to him long enough about the chances of other people getting nicked cos of his arsery, now he can ponder this at leisure. sadly he'll collect a nice fat cheque off it, thus messing up the lesson.
