Racism Alive and Well in USA

It's all ok. If you listen to her response, she quite clearly explains that she is not a racist because "I have a black cousin". And that "nigger means an ignorant person. It has nothing to do with race".:facepalm:

Those kids didn't seem too scared.... I'm more concerned over the fact she went apeshit. Not knowing any prior context, even with her "trying" to "explain" on the radio, there's no "video evidence"... There are two sides to every story, but the only thing we see is her yelling at this guy, when he wasn't even trying to be argumentative. Sure, he was recording it, but he was rather calm about it - not inciting her rage by yelling himself.

Only in a Dollar General parking lot.. if it were at Walmart, then I think there'd be more of an issue. (just kidding)

On a side note, living in Florida, I see some similar (name) things.. this NY woman stated the guy called her a "cracker"? Native (white) Floridians call themselves a tried and true Florida Cracker. No joke. I've run in to numerous folk who boast about this. They aren't afraid to use that term, over and over again. They are crackers. Pure bred crackers, having never even left their home state for nothing. There's even a beer company down here called Cigar City Brewing Co. They have a Belgian style White Ale called "Florida Cracker" as well... it's a pride thing, apparently.. (and yes, I've had the ale. It's quite good!)

I meant that her poor kids don't stand a chance.

As far as cracker, it always has been and always will be a joke for any white person to say that's a hurtful term. White trash, maybe...but "cracker" is about as insulting as calling someone a spoon.

Sometimes I look at these videos and I just don't know what to feel. I feel sadness, anger, and pity all at the same time. How she rants at the man in the car is so vile it fills me with rage, and then I look at those small children too and feel deeply sad for them she's reacting in the worst possible way around them. You can see how little they are and yet they have to witness this so young. And then they grow up thinking this is normal behaviour, and so it goes on....

Now that she's been exposed online for racism, sadly there's also the potential for vile responses to it on social media. The UK's racist tram woman 'deserved' to be raped and 'shot in the cunt' etc. The US has got a 'white trash' stripper.

Yeah, those people are scumbags too.

Whatever he did obviously didn't warrant the racism but I wonder what exactly he did do that made her so enraged? Seems like it was a bit more than 'I just started my car.' The irony of calling someone a 'racist nigger' is extraordinary.

I love how calm the guy is even when she's screaming abuse in his face.

I don't quite understand the mindset... not just *some* racism but carrying on repeatedly with very blatant racial abuse while acknowledging that it will probably end up on youtube... and now she's got 7 million hits - presumably there might well be a bit of fallout for her from this :D

Is there anything in that video that suggests that he's prone to scaring small children, or that she needs a reason to flip out?

Apparently, the local Starbucks refuses to serve her now. :)

I'm not sure it does have to be any more than him simply starting his car as they walked past (maybe an SUV) and the kid being startled by the engine sound. She's not exactly the most rational of people and seemed overprotective screaming at him about filming her kids etc... Tis quite plausible he only started his car, kid jumped/got scared and she called him a ****** prompting to him objecting and the exchange carrying on.
