"Onesies"

andysays

Love and solidarity
The growing popularity of these garments has demonstrated the need for a dedicated onesie thread, so here it is.

This now the place on Urban75 for all discussions on onesies, including (but not limited to) their practical, aesthetic and moral aspects, and following an inspired suggestion from another poster, an opportunity for the posting of selfies on urbanites in their onesies, should any one be so inclined.

Enjoy the thread (and don't expect any further contribution from me!)

I think youre a few years late with this mate :D

There's been a recent outbreak of onesie chat on the "detail your latest clothes..." thread, and in the vain hope that it can all be contained in one "special interest" thread, I thought I'd start this one.

My only observation is we had the Baby boomers, generation x, generation y.
Now we have the Onsie Generation

I thought until about 6 months back or so that onesies were some kind of weird internet joke - then I saw someone actually wearing one in the street.

It still doesn't seem real.

Aren't they long johns? Or at least the full body version. When I was a poor dolie living in the north I didn't wear them, now I certainly wouldn't.

Ffs, what is the name for them before they were onsies? Cowboys and that old bloke off the Simpsons wore them to bed.

I've stopped judging them all equally and now view animal-themed onesies with slightly more disdain than ordinary examples.

Not that I would protest if the authorities looked the other way and let beesonthewhatnow raise a rabble and get on with his plan.

I'm considering investing in one. Not because they are an attractive garment for a grown woman to be wearing but because my flat is as cold as a witch's tit. If I promise not to wear it outdoors will you promise not to set me on fire!

Oh God, they've reach Meerkat levels this winter (i.e. fad overkill). I walked through Primark in Wood Green, they've virtually got a onesie department.

I know they said we 'd wear all in one suits in the future because all the Sci Fi films had people wearing them, didn't realise they'd be that minging, though. They got the idea right but the actual design is way off the mark. :(

There were loads in sainsburys today. I bought some penguin pyjama bottoms instead. Much better, more practical etc.

I don't mind the ones that look like a giraffe or a crocodile, but the rest of them really need rounding up and taken somewhere they can get the help they need.
