I loved my 5210... and it still works when other phones I've had get broken or lost... My handy back up....:D

Nokia 6500c

Looks nice. Nice features. Lots of bells and whistles - camera, internet, games, etc, etc.

Shame that the battery lasts about 12 hours, will only get two bars even if you are impaled on the local mast and you can barely hear the person you are calling.

Hactually  the waves go out, not up, so on top of a mast you'd have shit reception </smug>

LG Chocolate. It lasted about a year before it just BROKE for no reason and it was a fucker to use. I've got another touch screen LG that's just sitting in a drawer because it's fucking impossible to do anything with as well. Give me buttons any day.

I have heard other N96 owners have the same problems. Mine crashes rarely though and I generally have no hassle with it.

I wasn't on top of the mast. I was impaled on the mast. And my post didn't preclude the possibility that I was holding my arm out whilst impaled, so still taking advantage of the outward moving waves :p

Ah. As you were :D

A sony erikkson brick I was given by a mate after she upgraded and was fed up never being able to get hold of me, like 9 years ago.

It also had a thermometer which made it a handy piece of medical apparatus. You could also swap the cover for a sleaker version. Mine got trashed sometime in 2003 by some chewing gum... (So I went back to my trusty 3210...)

do you use it a lot? I tend to flip between the web/google maps/mail all the time. Some one told me not to use it so heavily, but thats like buying sky tv and only being allowed to use two channels

I do indeed. Web, GMail, Music, messages, calls, radio, calender, maps...the lot!

Have you tried the software update?

This monstrosity, as borrowed from the missus when mine blew up.

It came with a pouch, for crying out loud.

I had one of these when they first came out in my late teens. We used to stick them in our back pockets because they were 'portable'. The aerial used to tickle the back of your neck.

What!?!?! I had one of them and LOVED it. Mainly because it was indestructible. I used to drop kick it or throw it against walls, just for the lulz

I assume that's calls only? Did the display even disply the whole number?!

i thought it was great when i got it, but it wasn't, crap camera, difficult to hear people talking to you, clunky on the internet, mind you, loved the golf game on it, upgraded to a G2 Google phone a month ago, now that is a fab phone.

The op nokia was/is a great phone, had one of those for years.

No, you could make and receive calls on it.

That's actually the later model. Mine had and LCD display, was grey and did I think, display the whole number. I used to unscrew the aerial when my bank manager phoned me and pretend I was losing reception.

Some Panasonic piece of shit in 1997 & this pile of poo in '99/2000

That looks like my mysteriously disapeared phone - bring it back you theif:mad:
:p

mine was almost the same but Orange branded, I hated it (don't really get the whole concept of mobiles tbh) it hated me back by refusing to do texts (once I'd finally got the hang of them), and it's now vanished, just as I'd bought and installed (but not fully registered) a new payg sim:mad:

I didnt own the phone but I had one for testing applications on. The nokia 6300, without a doubt in my mind one of the most flaky handsets they have ever produced.

I had that phone, it was excellent. Battery lasted nearly a week when new and no problems with reception. You must have got a dud.

this was one of the worst

serves me right for wanting a Matrix phone
