I don't usually speculate on such awful murder trials and its not a game show,etc, but I do have a gut feeling that the two accused will be found guilty.

You do wonder how they can get a verdict from months of testimony in a just few hours, but I understand that Italian courts tend to encourage quick verdicts (but evidently not quick trials).

I am not familiar with the case, in the sense that I know what I have read in the press, but can't say I know the details intimately.

I will say this: if you are living in a climate that allows a murder like this to take place, and don't leave, you are doing it wrong. I've never lived in a house where a murder occurred, have any of you?

This whole situation strikes me as decadent. I have no idea what happened that night, but I know enough about decadence to know that bizarre ideas can come to seem reasonable.

Again, I have no idea if the defendants were in any way culpable. I tend to trust the jury in these instances. Whether jailing these two people for many years is the best outcome, again, I am ambivalent.

Gosh, sitting on the fence like this is a real pain in the ass!

It's to stop them profiting from their crimes, by writing books etc. We have already have legislation in place in the UK to prevent this. I doubt the family are expecting any money.

The charge was murder, not any aspect of her beliefs or lifestyle.

Luckily they abolished the death penalty in 1947 unlike some other more 'civilized' countries.

Well, I'm not surprised.

As soon as Guede went down there was a very good chance that he was going to take Knox and Sollecito with him.

It's interesting that still no-one seems to have outlined a plausible scenario or motive for the murder.
