How do I get to the Oxo Tower Public Viewing Gallery?

Did a walk past there today and decided to take the lift up to the 8th floor where it's supposed to be as I'd never been up there before. I got out at the top and there was a corridor with a glass wall with a so so view to the south. I just assumed that was it because to the left and right it just said "restaurant". But I've looked at pictures online and it seems you're supposed to be able to see the river from the viewing gallery! So how do I get to it?

I think you have to just brazen your way through the bar to the terrace.

Lift to the Bar/brasserie/restaurant. Turn right when you come out of the lift and then walk through the brasserie to the outside terrace/gallery. You can't normally get to it through the bar iirc.

Yep, it feels a bit odd wandering through the people eating but it's not a problem. It's a great place for sitting with a coffee or glass of wine or something, especially on a summer evening. The view is terrific.
