Global Days of Action: 90s/00s internationally-networked political actions - an Index of Threads

DaveCinzano

WATCH OUT, GEORGE, HE'S GOT A SCREWDRIVER!
The subjects of ‘J18’ and ‘N30’ have come up recently, so I thought it might be useful to present a brief index of threads covering these events and others, with a small amount of context.

Notes:

  • Threads are chronologically arranged within each event heading; events are also arranged chronologically.
  • This index concerns itself with globalised mobilisations against globalised summits, from the first ‘global street party’ through to Genoa in 2001 (ie events not really covered at the time on these boards)
  • Subsequent ‘summit hops’, such as Evian, Cancun and Gleneagles are not indexed because the boards were fully functional and busy by then (UK May Day events are similarly not included)
  • Inclusions of articles or links to websites are not endorsements but are included because they cover a lot of the issues
  • Keywords are offered to assist in further research
