Galloway Making Allegations That He Is Being Set Up By Counter Terrorism Officer In SO15 Met!

he is pretty capable of smearing himself tbh. he only has to talk about rape or women etc and he does his detractors jobs for them.

eta - although if the stuff about the S015 person sleeping in his house is true, that does whiff a bit

The bit about Gorgeous generously allowing Mrs. A to get away with gross misconduct sounds like a massive whopper of a lie tbf

Its George if you wanted to smear him
Refer to George the cat Galloway in all your reports and leak a couple job done.
Why go to the effort to make stuff up.

Is that the dude that Canadian banned at one time?

I'm still waiting for him to sue my government.

He promised....
Yes, this is the Galloway who was temporarily barred from entering Canada and accused of supporting terrorists - the same one who had that ban effectively overturned by a federal court ruling that this constituted "a flawed and overreaching interpretation of the standards under Canadian law for labelling someone as engaging in terrorism or being a member of a terrorist organization".

I'm not sure why some people here are so dismissive of GG's claim. Sure, he's a vain old Islamophile and tyrannophile, who loves the limelight and being in the headlines, but that doesn't mean nobody is out to get him. It is plausible that Plod or Spook, or some elements within those bodies, may be out to discredit him and use sly and dishonest means to do so.

more holes in his story than an aero.
if a spook was in the house up to no good, why does he admit to being in the house -apparently to make sure his fingerprints are not included in the investigation into the robbery. but GG apparently knew that his assistant was seeing a copper, which wasn't a problem at the time, if there was a black op against him then the spook would stay quiet and his dabs would be disappeared.
perhaps GG is feeling a little hurt at being ignored and just wants a little poor sexual etiquette love.

Remember 'Spycatcher' when, according to the author, Peter Wright, the security services "bungled" and "burgled" their way across London. The CPGB was heavily infiltrated. To dismiss Galloway's claims now might be somewhat premature and sectarian in hindsight? Time will tell.

...Spycatcher tells of the MI6 plot to assassinate President Nasser during the Suez Crisis; of joint MI5-CIA plotting against left-wing British Prime Minister Harold Wilson (secretly accused of being a KGB agent by the Soviet defector Anatoliy Golitsyn); and of MI5’s eavesdropping on high-level Commonwealth conferences.

I do recall an ex WRP bloke of some years telling me the org was riddled with state informants, and then of course the recent one about the bloke having children with a woman in the group he'd infiltrated.

Its not beyond the realms and we do know that the state knock over left wing orgs as enthusiasticlly as they do right wing ones.

But....galloway...and it sounds well far fetched

as you say, time will tell

I'd be surprised if in a country the size of the UK that any group with a "political cause" (small p) wasn't looked at by some area of the state or nowadays a private security company.

I like to keep a fairly open mind when it comes to the murky layers.

Galloway likely to be a frustrating mix for those seeking truth on sensitive subjects. The way he plays the game is more likely to lead to public revelations of an interesting nature than we get from most UK politicians. But he comes with heaps of baggage and is more than capable of adding his own layers of murk to a picture. So thats why I say frustrating, hard to get too enthusiastic about someone parting the fog if they also bring their own fog machine.

It's one of those situations where I find myself hoping both sides lose. Like a football match.

I'm finding plenty of such situations this decade in particular. From domestic politics to many arab spring countries there are all sorts of powers I'd like to see cancel each other out, but in a manner that features useful demolition rather than the simple preservation of the status quo.
