having blocked the view from Blackfriars bridge properHow about Blackfriars? The London station that now has probably the best view from its platforms; and probably one of the best in the country as well.
Some of the Settle & Carlisle ones are pretty nice.
I liked Selby as it was like a time warp from the 70s when I'd stop there a few years back, had a proper old school cafe where you could get a cheese toastie for a couple of quid, all Formica and stains. It's probably being tarted up now
I like seaside train stations, particularly ones at the end of the line. Southend Victoria is a favourite.
