Desert island dinners

Mation

real life adventure worth more than pieces of gold
Or dessert island, ho ho.

I've literally been dreaming about the delicious, healthy food I'm missing from home while I'm over here in fast-food and salt land. Veggies pies and gravy with roast tatties and garlic portabella mushrooms...

So, I've been listing the 10 foods I could happily live on forever, nutritional value permitting, if I were stuck on some strange island where these and only these foods were available (plus a salt and pepper tree, a spice thing  and a herb garden).

1. Black-eyed beans
2. Basmati rice
3. Spinach
4. Portabella mushrooms
5. Potatoes
6. Tomatoes
7. Eggs
8. Avocados
9. Bananas
10. Oranges (someone else would have to peel them for me though)

What are yours?

(Soz if this has been done before!)

Are we allowed things like, say, houmous, which is a combination of foods, or must it be broken down?

edited to add.. I guess it must be broken down... tricky

rice and pickles as a base with the ocational bit of well prepared meat or fish .. lightly cooked and not over procesed
