due to lack of commitment by Lambeth Council... mondays event on coldharbour lane has been postponed.. it turns out that the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.... a strange thing for Lambeth Council.. surely????

Arse! Although the recent weather may have turned it into Brixton Soggy.

Cheers for trying fella!

Shame...

Hey Pat,

Thats a shame as sounded like a really good idea.. Tia said you wanted Ed and I to do some circusy stuff and was enthused enough that I was willing to put birthday plans aside to come and spin poi, stiltwalk etc. If this goes ahead another time and have more advance notice I can organise a bigger possie of jugglers etc, performers to come along and add some colour.

When did you first mention it to them?

Or: the left foot doesn't know what the other left foot is doing ... and they can't both fit in the same mouth at once anyway. :D

My sympathies.

Feel free to spill the beans (either under your own name or maybe you could pass it via a "little bird") ... I think it helps towards no letting them get away with screwing up free community-based events (one of the few things they seem expert in) whereas large money-making corporate events seem to be welcomed with open arms.

That is a shame, but given the weather forecast probably for the best. Any chance of getting the idea going for later on in the summer, when we're (hopefully) guaranteed some sun? How about first Sunday in August?

well.. i get back from Canada on friday and aparrantly i have a meeting to go to tuesday regarding re-scheduling for the last week in July / 1st week in August... better weather maybe..

First Sunday in August sounds good ... the Great British Beer
Festival finishes on the Saturday (5th August) of that weekend, and we'll be around then :p and could maybe get involved. There is often a HEATWAVE at Beer Festival time, this is because it's one of our very few undercover festivals of the summer

Weather prospects for this coming weekend still looking crap but if you now lack something to do now on Monday 29th (Bank Holiday) the Kingston Green Fair (see thread in Community) is very definitely still ON!

**(although the BBC, cold and negative, disagrees with the Guardian, a bit warmer and better)

Kingston is 20 minutes from Waterloo and less from Clapham Junction.

Paul- yes.. frankly you do smell.. in fact so much so that I'm going to provide gas masks for all the guests while you and Mark do your set ;) My forum loyalties lie elsewhere, hence the low post count! Looking forward to tomorrow, see you then :)
