bbc iplayer - UK only?

officially yes, but there are ways to access it abroad. You just aren't supposed to, but y'know. Fuck the man and his state media lies

You used to be able to get it abroad with some trickery that involved Google Chrome or Firefox - Does anyone know if this still works?

There may be some threads in the Tecchie Forum that could help.

It does, only some sport coverage is rights-limited.
One good thing with that is that even though Radio 5 can't broadcast some football commentary on the internet (even in the UK), the World Service apparently can (if they are broadcasting a game) eg the Man U Everton game is on World Service via the radio player but not on 5.

I use media hint here as a plugin for Firefox here in HK and it works fine.

In saying that the bbc is so shit these days we rarely actually watch it.

Use the Chrome browser and install "Hola Better Internet" from the Chrome App store. It allows you to choose a country for any website you go to.

we had a few problems with hola for some reason so use zenmate... same kind of thing tho, use with chrome... just it worked better with our setup for some reason.

anyone got an alternative to hola?

i am trying to view iplayer in Cyprus and it has rumbled me i think.
