Basicly saying this didn't really happen as presented and that it's no surprise a poorly attended demo didn't get picked up in the media and that armed police are around Whitehall

I wasn't there, so am not judging. Just offering a counter point

wasn't there either, but from what I can tell the police are saying it was just a shift change. never seen armed cops at trafalgar square before though, its not inconceivable that a few of them might have decided to have a strut round to send a message
